Ethiopian Harrar is generally highly rated, rich, pungent, sun-dried, heavy-bodied, spicy, exotic, dark chocolate, fragrant. It has complex notes of sweet fruity, floral-toned acidity reminiscent of jasmine, bright in the cup, with an intense heady aroma that is wonderfully reminiscent of blackberries, blueberries jam, apricots, compote, and spice tones that may include cinnamon and black cardamom with a lingering finish. This leads to some interesting flavor contributions to blends.
